Dear Friend/Supporter
I am proud to be the President of the United Seniors of Oakland and Alameda County (USOAC) and also a member of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. USOAC is excited to announce our 35th Annual Convention. Since 1986 USOAC has served as a voice for older adults and a vehicle for senior empowerment. For 40 years USOAC has proudly conducted Senior Organizing, Advocacy, and Engagement! We have fought for Older Adult Quality of Life!
This year USOAC will conduct many actions to address senior concerns. Our 35th Annual Convention is May 29, 2026 at Cherryland Community Center, 278 Hampton Road in unincorporated Hayward. Each year our convention raises awareness of older adult issues, educates and holds public officials accountable, increases senior involvement, champions successful aging, provides reports on our activities, handles business, and encourages both civic engagement and senior advocacy.
In 2026 the United Seniors will prioritize following: Affordable Housing for Seniors, Probate/Conservatorship Reform, Walkable Neighborhoods for Seniors, Senior Nutrition Advocacy & Food Security, Mental Health for Seniors, Senior Digital Technology Capacity Building & Advocacy, Travel Training for Seniors, and Senior Mobility.
The 35th Annual Convention demonstrates the strength of our organization. It is our public commitment to be that voice for aging adults and the vehicle for senior empowerment. Presently, the United Seniors has a membership of more than 13,500. We recognize that there is strength in organized numbers and if it is good for seniors, then it is good for everyone!
The United Seniors would greatly appreciate your sponsorship of our 35th Annual Convention, recognizing our 40 Proud Years of Fighting for Older Adult Quality of Life in Oakland and throughout Alameda County. Deadline to submit a Sponsorship is
Friday, May 1, 2026.
